Four Go To Nashville...Panarts have chosen four local songwriters to showcase in Nashville Tennessee
“It was a massive opportunity to get to showcase my music to the top people in the music industry
" Triona Carville, Crossgar 2014
We've been listening to a lot of great original music lately and searching for the next four Northern Irish songwriters to showcase in Nashville Tennessee, March 2015. It's the 11th year of of this unique Panarts programme and its been a pleasure working with so many talented artists. Panarts have been amazed at the standard of music coming out of Northern Ireland, many of whom take part in our annual Song Writing Convention workshops and seminars. The four chosen will perform in concert at the Holiday Inn Belfast as part of the 11th United Airlines Belfast Nashville Songwriters Festival in early March. Mid March, they will travel to the US to take part in four live showcase events and music industry meetings with publishers, managers, venue owners and other industry professionals.
"The value of this experience as a writer is immeasurable" Stephen Macartney, Bangor 2014
Its been a difficult but enjoyable task to decide and Panarts, with support from The Arts Council of Northern Ireland and United Airlines, will provide flights and accommodation to each person. The four who will take part in the 2015 United Airlines Belfast Nashville Songwriters Showcase are:
Paul Tully, Allie Bradley, Mark Graham, Warren Attwell
Congrats to each one of you and we hope you have a long and successful career in the world of song writing and the music industry. Thank you to everyone who introduced us to their music and we only wish we could have more than four places. As in previous years, family and close friends of Panarts staff and Trustees are not eligible.
Here's to another great year of working with creative people who write great songs
All the best
“I’ve been playing on the ‘music scene’ in Northern Ireland for over 10 years. In that time I’ve NEVERcome across an opportunity as important as this" Peter McVeigh, Belfast 2014
“The fact that I went there as part of the Belfast Nashville Songwriters Festival allowed me to perform in places where it would be impossible for someone like myself to get that opportunity. It also allowed me to meet with some highly respected music industry personnel" Wilfie Gilbert, Holywood 2014
